Cellular respiration is a process that breaks down organic compounds to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Heterotrophs
and autotrophs both use cellular respiration. During this process, organic compunds and oxygen (O2)
produce water and carbon dioxide (CO2). Cellular respiration is split
into two parts: (1)glycolysis and (2) aerobic respiration. The products of cellular respiration are the reactants
of photosynthesis.
The equation for cellular respiration is:
enzymes
C6H12O6+6O2→6CO2+6H2O+energy(ATP)
